Terms and conditions of sale
Last updated: 21/10/2026.
1. Purpose
Point par point creates an original cross stitch pattern from photos and a description supplied by the customer, and delivers digital files: a PDF pattern (in colour and in black and white, with the list of threads and the number of skeins), a file in the open OXS format that stitching apps can read, and preview images. The site neither sells nor ships any supplies: no thread, fabric or needles.
2. Price and payment
Designing the pattern, the stitched preview, the pattern preview and the list of supplies are free. Only the pattern files are paid for, at €12, once. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code. Payment is made online through Stripe; no bank details pass through this site or are stored on it. Thread quantities are estimates: actual use depends on thread tension and on how you stitch.
3. Delivery
The files are emailed and made available on the customer's tracking page immediately after payment is confirmed, usually in under a minute. If they do not arrive, write to us and we will send the link again.
4. Right of withdrawal
The files are digital content supplied without a physical medium. Before paying, the customer expressly asks for them to be supplied immediately and acknowledges that this causes the loss of the fourteen-day right of withdrawal as soon as the download begins, under article L221-28 of the French consumer code. This request and acknowledgement are confirmed by email. Until payment, the customer commits to nothing: requesting a pattern is free and ends there if they take it no further.
5. If the pattern is not right
The stitched preview, the pattern preview, the dimensions and the list of threads are shown before payment, precisely so the customer can judge for themselves. If the delivered files do not match the accepted preview, or cannot be used, write to us: we will correct the pattern or refund it.
6. Use of the files
The customer may stitch the pattern as many times as they like, modify it, and give or sell what they stitch. The files are for them: they may not resell them or distribute them as their own. The customer confirms they have the right to use the photos they send. Patterns reproducing a protected character, mascot or logo are refused at the design stage.
7. DMC®
DMC® is a trademark of DMC, which does not sponsor or endorse this site. Threads are named by their DMC number so they can be bought; their on-screen colours are only an approximation, and no thread is sold here.
8. Personal data
Photos and descriptions are used only to design the pattern and are deleted after 90 days. The details are on the Privacy page.
9. Disputes
Write to us first: most problems are settled in one email. Failing agreement, the customer may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator named in the legal notice. French law applies.
